The Creative Team of Maison D’Alexandre

Situated in the heart of affluent Greenwich, Connecticut, Maison D’Alexandre has set a new standard in the upscale salon industry. According to founder Alexandre Chouery, the name Maison D’Alexandre is a nod to the ateliers of Paris. His mission statement is a preview of what to expect at his exclusive salon.

“My objective is to offer the absolute highest quality in every detail to my clients at the same time I want them to feel, as we say in France, ‘comme chez toi’.”

- Alexandre Chouery

Alexandre attributes his appreciation for beauty and a unique perspective to his French Lebanese heritage; a marriage of two cultures renowned for elegance and refinement. This synthesis of east and west, coupled with his insistence on perfection, has shaped Alexandre's twenty-year career in the hairstyling industry.

Every aspect of Maison D’Alexandre’s interior design was curated by Alexandre with meticulous attention to product quality and personal comfort. The salon is housed in a gorgeous turn of the century building which is illuminated from front to back by floor-to-ceiling windows. Exposed beams and original lattice are old-world accents in a space that balances warmth and charm with unsurpassed elegance and modern luxury. Massive walnut wood tables serve as communal centerpieces inviting clients and designers to share their stories

Arriving at the salon, clients are warmly greeted and welcomed into this awe-inspiring space by the gracious salon manager Cheryl Jordan. From there your amazing beauty treatment or transformation, if that’s what you are looking for, can begin but first relax in one of the cozy couches next to a striking, modern fireplace with a beverage, yes, wine included, until your stylist, colorist or makeup artist takes you into her/his capable hands for your unforgettable Maison D’Alexandre experience.

Having experienced the unparalleled services the Maison D’Alexandre glamour team provided for a recent high-end photoshoot for which they styled and provided the makeup for the founders of the Greenwich International Film Festival, I can personally attest to their absolute competence in their areas of expertise. You can see their amazing work in the latest print edition of The Hedonist Magazine.

Since the opening of Maison D'Alexandre, the salon has been the Official Beauty Salon of the Greenwich International Film Festival (GIFF). The team is on call to provide hair and makeup services to the founders of GIFF (Wendy Stapleton, Colleen De Veer, and Ginger Stickel) to ensure the ladies are always Red-Carpet-Ready for any GIFF event. The salon also hosts "Opening Night" parties pre-season and promotes the festival via its social media channels and in-salon ticket sales. The association with GIFF has marked the Maison D’Alexandre brand as the go-to-salon for event looks in Greenwich.

Alexandre's passion for creating beauty brought him to Paris as a young man where he was chosen by the elite Dessange Private Academy to serve as an apprentice under Jacques Dessange.

After arriving in the U.S. in 2006, Alexandre joined the Frederic Fekkai flagship salon in New York City. Within a year, he was selected to open the Fekkai salon in Greenwich, which, in the position of Creative Director, he developed to become the single most profitable location of the Fekkai brand.

In 2018, Alexandre opened Maison D'Alexandre bringing with him Rabih Fakhoury as Creative Director of Style and Beth Jablonska as Creative Director of Color Services. In addition, Vëra Nicolla, a successful makeup artist for brands such as Tom Ford and Chanel, just to mention a few, joined his team as Brow Specialist and Makeup Artist.

As Creative Director of Maison D'Alexandre, Rabih Fakhoury brings a wealth of innovation, precision and managerial expertise to the team. Rabih began his training in hairstyle at the Academie Alexandre de Paris where he specialized in cutting and style techniques. Tenures at the Toni & Guy Academy in Paris, L'Oreal Paris, and Maniatis Paris perfected Rabih's stylistic execution while equipping him with the skill to treat any hair type. Rabih's unique creations are found in the pages of Elle, Glamour, and Mode magazines, among other international publications. He describes himself as "not a by-the-book hairdressing guru." He blends imagination and customization, mixing styles best fit for the client's personality and lifestyle. His specific training in up-dos gains him the trust of brides, celebrities and international fashion elites.

“Makeup captures the beauty of each client adding a glow to the face. For me it is all about the EYES!”

-Vëra Nicolla

With over 20 years of experience, Makeup Artist Vëra Nicolla has worked with top luxury makeup brands including Chanel, Tom Ford, Bobbi Brown, Trish McEvoy, Kate Somerville, and Dolce & Gabanna.

Vëra specializes in creating the perfect look for each occasion. She believes in a collaborative relationship with her clients and has developed a loyal following of clients who seek her versatile skill for highlighting each individual's radiance. From applications to makeup lessons, Vëra works with her clients to find the perfect look for their individual style. Vëra believes that brows are a key beauty accessory. She uses a gentle threading technique to shape the perfect line and tints the brow color where necessary, creating the perfect form for the eyes.

Creative Color Director Beth Jablonska’s devotion to the art of color made her one of the top colorists at Frederic Fekkai Salon where she worked for 18 years. Starting at the New York flagship and joining Alexandre Chouery in opening Fekkai Greenwich, she quickly became a favorite of the Greenwich clients.

Known for her vision and mastery of the balayage technique, Beth creates the perfect custom blend to complement the beauty of each client.

“Your hair is one of your most visible assets, make it work for you.”

-Beth Jablonska

In selecting this amazingly competent team, Alexandre turned to his old friends and peers, some of whom he had already met in Paris while training at the exclusive Dessange Private Academie. Each member of these highly respected industry veterans, whose collective experience includes runway shows, couture editorials, and celebrity clients brings a wealth of knowledge to Maison D’Alexandre along with a shared vision towards the common goal of beauty and lifestyle. An international mix of unique and warm artists who understand the magnetism of this community and the importance of a meaningful connection with their clients.

The luxurious Maison D’Alexandre with its stunning and inviting interior is their home away from home and they would like their clients to feel the same way about it. An outstanding concept in a world full of choices.
