Editor’s Letter for the New Year
Wow, what a difference a year makes…
Everything that wasn’t supposed to happen happened and we all had to call on our inner warriors to make it through the year.
Some made it well through all of it, some not so much, and some even had good luck and fortune coming their way in such a challenging year. Life works in mysterious ways.
Except for missing out on some amazing travel experiences, I personally can’t complain. My secret is that I always like to keep positive energy around me and to have a Plan B for everything.
This was a year where some of us made new friends but also said goodbye to old friends for various reasons. The year 2020 has shown us that you can outgrow people and material things. Some people showed their true colors, and it wasn’t pretty. Sometimes we have to accept what is gone, thank our past for valuable lessons, be grateful for what we still have and look forward to the future.
I would like to end this year on a positive note by saying that I am looking forward to new adventures, getting together with dear friends and making new ones on this journey called life.
While we all have to realize that the challenges of 2020 we are facing right now won’t disappear miraculously when the clock strikes 12 on December 31, we should nevertheless move forward with positive thoughts and goals.
Always remember, the most beautiful things in life are not material things but people, places, memories full of laughter, and breathtaking moments.
Looking back upon 2020, we need to thank the people who make a positive difference in our lives and believe that the best moments in our lives haven’t even happened yet.
